" … Evancho is working on a new album. She’s unsure of the release date, but promised it would be “really interesting and different from anything I’ve done. And, unexpected.” … "

As of 5 minutes ago, the venue is 77% sold! IMO, that's not too shabby!

I agree. That's about the same turnout as Spokane, with a balcony. It was a very enthusiastic audience with several standing ovations. Jackie never seems to disappoint, whatever the circumstance. She made new fans there from conversations I overheard.

You are right, probably. But compared to Costa Mesa, Dec. 14 & 15, which is practically sold out on both days with a capacity of nearly 2000 seats, it seems a little weak for me.

What is it about Costa Mesa that has produced such strong sales there? The demographics? Jackie seems to do better in upscale/older semiresort communities.

She plays the same circuit many veteran acts play, because she reminds the audience of their youth and THEIR music. Plus, she had the "holy child" card. But time moves on and certainly the music industry has. Actually, the venues seem to be now mostly theaters supported by charitable foundations, so that Jackie receives her fee for performing, whatever that is now, rather than a cut of the box office. Which at least takes some of the uncertainty out of it. I really think she can keep this kind of career going for years. And maybe that's what she'll opt for.

Hmmm. The "holy child" has left the building.

Hmmm. The "holy child" has left the building. She's worn that dress a lot of times already Julia.
