I believe that social media (Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, etc.) are 85% driven by today's youth, and to me, there is no doubt that the music that Jackie kicked off with is more appreciated by us older folks who do not have a cell phone glued to the palm of our hand. Both Taylor, and Lindsey's music appeal more to the young, hence the greater activity on social media that you point out. We will have to wait and see about Angelica Hale to evaluate her career. Perhaps until after she has produced seven #1 studio albums, as Jackie has !!! No doubt that is correct.
I still am concerned about the apparent trend of Jackie to give concerts to smaller audiences. I am eagerly awaiting what happens when she turns 18, although I would be quite surprised if she ditches her family. She has met countless people in the last seven years who she should be able to turn to for suggestions, most of whom would probably be very willing and able to help. Hopefully she can evaluate them correctly.
It is obvious that while Jackie's family may be acting with their best intentions, their decisions are not necessarily the best for Jackie's long term future. As to who Jackie should turn to, I certainly hope that that person will be Mr Foster. In the cruel world of business, he is one of the few who can be trusted.

On the flip side, people who established YouTube accounts earlier had several years head start over newbies like Angelica Hale. Just a couple of people who started around the same time as Jackie, actually Lindsey Stirling who appeared the same year AGT2010 starter her YouTube about a year BEFORE Jackie & Taylor Swift started her VEVO channel a year AFTER Jackie -all started before 2010: YouTube subscribers 10/31/2017 5:30pm EDT: Lindsey Stirling YouTube (Lindseystomp) created May 20,2007 9,963,528 subscribers Jackie Evancho YouTube (usedmeb4) created April 18,2008 82,039 subscribers Taylor Swift VEVO YouTube (taylorswiftvevo) created May 12,2009 25,801,788 subscribers LOL FWIW, I was bike riding this morning on Hains Point (a.k.a. East Potomac Park) here in DC. From there one can easily see the marquee of The Anthem, the new concert hall which opened less than a month ago. Lindsay Stirling's name is currently there as she is performing tomorrow (Friday). www.theanthemdc.com/calendar/ or www.theanthemdc.com/event/1555629-lindsey-stirling-warmer-in-washington/

I strongly feel that if Jackie's longer term goal is to significantly increase her fan base and succeed in drawing larger concert attendance then she must look at today's youth and what music interests them. I can assure you she will never have large concert attendance with classical music or pop music with a classical sound. Today's younger crowd wants music that moves them.....they are not into sitting and quietly listening.
So....if she wants a greater fan base and larger concert attendance then she must convert to pop/rock. Music with a beat and a catchy sound.
However, she may be very satisfied staying mostly with classical music and classical sounding pop performed before smaller intimate crowds i.e. Carlyle Restaurant NYC (sp). Perhaps she might be satisfied trying to do something on Broadway.

Unless things have changed, and I don't think that they have, appealing to youth requires a type of pop voice and songs which we haven't seen from Jackie. IMHO, none of her of songs have the kind of beat that is needed.

Jackie is a supreme vocalist of a different class who's appeal is not expected to be widely popular, because of her dedication to the classical and to experimenting with her voice in different genres. She is young and still seeking her path. No one knows what is happening at present with Jackie or those involved with her career, what the intentions are, or what plans may or may not be in the making. We don't even know what real significance Jackie places on popularity at present. It's all conjecture, without first hand insight to Jackie's perspective and undisclosed circumstances. She may be doing exactly what she wants to be doing. In my opinion, Jackie is an artist of integrity not likely to pursue any avenue other than what would be gratifying to her artistically and fulfilling to her need to express herself as a vocalist first and foremost. Entertaining smaller venues seems satisfying to her since her experience performing at The Cafe Carlyle and The Triple Door which she might consider growth. Someone who reviewed her last concert said she presented herself with greater confidence and maturity, more at ease in addressing the audience. Jackie is still developing, and we have yet to see what direction she chooses for herself, not what is chosen for her, but perhaps even one of continued exploration. There may not even be a significant revelation when she turns eighteen, but yet another phase in an ongoing experiment.

That can be said about the situation in the US. However, the situation in Europe is a lot more optimistic, with classical music listening rates rising. It will be wise for Jackie to capture some of the European market

Javier.....you may be right that Jackie's stardom resides in a EURO audience. Slim Whitman, a country and western phenomenon was a bigger star in EURO than the US who sold over 140 million records in his career. Of course in the days of vinyl records, sales then were much greater than today in most cases. However, I still believe that large listening rates resides with a young energetic audience of party / dance goers than those wanting to listen to classical.

I am not looking forward to the day when a front row seat to one of her performances costs $1000.

Nothing wrong with Jackie's voice, but making pop videos in the same manner as classical videos isn't going to do it. Now days I believe the young concert goers would rather stand than sit so they can move and sing to the music. But to really grow you have to have the right personality and social media sites to draw people in. There are a lot of examples on the internet of people doing just that. JoJo Siwa is the expert in my opinion of drawing in her age group. I think she is obnoxious but she knows how to draw her age group in. Her Boomerang music video is now over 391 million views and still # 195 most watched video in the last 24 hours with 935,030 views. Is she that great of a singer or has personality that draws the crowd, In the UK her bows became such a fad that the school boards had special meetings on them. Is she such a great writer now that her first book that just came out, that 7000 showed up for her book signing event. Jackie wants to sing and then hide away till the next concert, that may work for awhile when you are getting a lot of publicity but now that she isn't getting much PR we will see how long that last.

Everything I have said along with many that have followed her from the beginning is coming true. Jackie's social media was a sham from the beginning when she was at the top of her game and she only had twitter (actually Lisa's site) there would be several weeks at a time when there wasn't on tweet. Now everyone that kept up social media has passed Jackie career wise like she is standing still. Especially the ones Jackie OTT fans said had no future. Grace Vanderwaal is doing just great no problem selling concerts and Millie Bobby Brown may just jump ahead of Maddie Ziegler and the next big thing. She is a little younger than Grace but already has an Emmy award for best actor, a 4.8 million dollar deal with converse, She just finished filming a major movie and a ton of other gigs. Of course she has professional management. What gigs has Jackie gotten from her Mom and Dad managers. theblast.com/millie-bobby-brown-godzilla-million-dollars/ Show me the BS. You can't come up with a graph, chart, trend that shows Jackie is not on a downward slope, and the worst thing is it seems they aren't trying to do one thing about it. Well she will be 18 soon and Lisa and Mike got their money out of her. Probably not much left for her to go on her own now. Go bury your head in the sand. Mike and Lisa can't even keep Jackie's main site up to date. I thought she moved to NYC for her career but I don't see much happening on that end. It is ashamed that she listened to all you OTT fans that didn't have a clue how things work today and kept telling her she was so great that she didn't have to work. Looks to me she is still waiting for someone to come along and pull her wagon like Trump did. Well we know how she treated him and a lot of her followers after that. Others may have the parents quit and work with them but to succeed they have the best management team they can get. www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-5052587/The-rise-Stranger-Things-star-Millie-Bobby-Brown.html

However, her parents made the decision early on to make sure Jackie had a regular child hood with all of the fun that goes with it and not have her burned out as a lot of child stars have been. Was that a good decision or a bad one? I think it was a good one that benefited Jackie and not her parents. Early on mike said in an interview that his main job was to say no. Everyone wanted Jackie to appear and she could have had any venue that she wanted. As it turned out she only picked the best. Singing for the then President at the Christmas tree lighting. The National prayer breakfast, and least but not last the St Petersburg economic summit to name a few. They booked a lot of concerts as that was one of the things that Jackie said she liked to do but they kept it down to a number that they felt she could handle without becoming tired of it. Everyone is waiting for her to turn 18 but i don't think anything will change until she graduates from High School as Juliet did. At that point in time she will be doing what she wants as Juliet is now.

Remember David Foster telling her if she wants to have a normal childhood then stop singing. It was only after her career slowed way down that she went back to private school then more recently when it looked like her career might be picking up Jackie started home schooling. I guess that is what she is doing in NYC is home schooling. Having an apartment in NYC at 17 years of age while your parents are in Pittsburgh doesn't sound like a normal childhood either. Although I thought that her moving to NYC could be a great move for her career.

Mackenzie Ziegler said she had fun doing the concerts in the UK and she wants to do some more in Europe probably not a month later she adds 10 concerts for Dec. in Europe. mackenziezieglermusic.com/events/How long have people been talking about Jackie touring in EU. Can't Mom and Pop make it happen. Don't hand me this BS that it is easier for Mackenzie to tour Europe than Jackie. Mackenzie is 13 so she would be under the same restrictions Jackie would be under for doing a concert in Europe. I would like to know just what Mike and Lisa do for Jackie that they needed to quit their job for if they can't even keep her sites up to date.
