Not surprised. Two hearts wasn't the best album Jackie released. It was full of poor song choices which did not allow her to showcase her quality of her voice.

It was full of poor song choices which did not allow her to showcase her quality of her voice.I disagree, but in any case, she has done plenty to showcase the quality of her voice. She wanted to showcase other things: versatility, flexibility, broader interest, and of course her compositions. Which I think she did very well.

Everything besides Caruso, Attesa, How Great Thou Art and May it Be. I will probably exempt Safe and Sound from such criticism as well.

Two Hearts showcased and exposed weaknesses in her compositions skills. As for flexibility, Awakening was a much better show of that, with songs such as With or Without you, Memories and My Immortal.

I think that Caruso and Attesa are the two best songs on the album. I also think that other two songs which you listed show off her voice. I would add Mamma, A Thousand Years, Have You Ever Been In Love, and The Way We Were, but perhaps for different reasons. I am on the fence with Safe and Sound and don't particularly care for Writing's On The Wall. The reason for not thinking that the last two show off her talent may just be that I listened to them too many times before 2H was released.

I do agree that it is an excellent rendition as is WoWY.

My Immortal was on the US DVD as a special feature, I was surprised it wasn't also on the CD.
Attessa doesn't do much for me, but I like Caruso (but I think the PBS version is better than the 2H version).
I also like My It Be quite a bit.
Have You Ever Been in Love is the best pop song on the album, for me.

At best it's one person's opinion, which even if heartfelt, has many opposing views. One of which is my truly heartfelt opinion.
