"...Lisa's comment saying f them to the fans might have been the straw that broke the camels back..." johnnyb I was shocked and angered when I saw that on the video. What a crass, low-class thing to say. I really believe that "Growing Up Evancho" was heavily scripted and before it was released for viewing, many others would have had opportunity to vet and edit. I would not be surprised if Sony, Jackie's agent, and even their legal advisers would have probably had a look. Although I agree it was a bit shocking to hear Lisa say what she said, it did show that she is a real person and not a Disney type fabrication. I also believe what she said was aimed at those that renounced their being a Jackie fan for whatever their petty reasons for doing so. The Renouncers were no great loss and Jackie's world will continue to spin but with less wobble.
Ever since Jackie sang at the inauguration, that event and every little thing that happened thereafter has shown that the day of little Jackie the angel have past. At 17, she shows in everyway her maturity and even adult-like demeanor that the days of angel-hood are gone and it is her time and our time to look at the path ahead in a much different way. In my vision, Jackie has a new found freedom and the pedestal has been sent for recycling or use by some new up-and-comer. It is the time of Jackie the young woman.

I am unfamiliar with the process for a court decision that emancipates a minor and therefore accept your statement of being not overly difficult as demonstrated by your family members. I am a little more familiar with tort and contract law from an accountants perspective. From what I understand of the emancipation process as it pertains to Jackie is that it may be more complex because of her income and ability to generate financial self sufficiency is based upon existing contracts and their interdependency. For a judge to render a decision in favour of emancipating Jackie could put the judge in the position of committing tort in that he/she could be harming parties under contract. The possibility of a judge committing tort in order to render a favourable decision to Jackie may make the entire process legally impossible.....a real Catch 22. I really believe that in Jackie's case, it is much more complex than your example of family members. Currently all of Jackie's income is accomplished through agreements/contracts drawn up long in advance of an actual performance. In addition, I think there would be real reluctance on the part of venues entering into an agreement/contract with a minor regardless of some NYC judge rendering an emancipated minor decision. I'm pretty sure that the ruling would not compel another if they felt uncomfortable. Jackie's current ability to be financially self sufficient depends upon her travelling across the country to perform at a variety of venues. Every state has own laws governing Emancipation of a minor and they are most often quite different. Therefore it is quite possible that she would need to be an Emancipated minor in every state where she wished to perform. I really see the entire process of seeking emancipation status would be set aside and simply let her age clock tick down to age 18. Besides it might take a few months to get her case to court, be heard and finally reach a decision. You could be absolutely right. I am only familiar with what goes on in CA. Jackie of course could always move to CA. and make a great living here. Well, since Jackie is going to be an adult in 6 months, I doubt she'd go through the expense of legal proceedings just to hurry it up a little. Particularly, since there doesn't seem to be any evidence of friction with her parents.

Does anyone can tell me how to find "the filming of Growing Up Evancho," Or the show itself ?As for Jackie moving out, That could mean Mike would have to go back to work. BUT, Mike is very smart, and i'm sure he has his bases covered. Lisa is most likely to blow a gasket. I always figured 'one day' Jackie would say "hay, I support You". Myself, as a retired teacher, want to see all the kids go to collage. Here is the link to the show: www.tlc.com/tv-shows/growing-up-evancho/full-episodes/meet-the-evanchosHere is Rick’s link to the movie download (big file, download starts automatically): jackieevanchofans.proboards.com/post/19774/threadDon

If everybody would concentrate on the title of the thread, it would help already enough. Look at the posts above in the last 20 hours. Has it to do with the title thread "Jackie moving to NYC to work on Broadway?" - No!

Has it to do with the title thread "Jackie moving to NYC to work on Broadway?" - No! Admin is moving posts around in his house cleaning. My post above has been restored in the cleaned-up "New Chapter In The Story Of Jackie Evancho" thread. So, I suppose it will disappear from here. If not, I will delete it myself when I'm sure the restoration is permanent.
