I don't think Jackie would go anywhere without Maggie. She has even taken her to concerts...to accompany her on stage. She'll replace all those stuffed bed animals...maybe, and be her apartment guard dog. Doesn't Juliet have a little doggie too? Juliet also has a ferret.

Jackie appears to be very happy and excited about her move to NYC with Juliet, and I'm happy for them both whatever their plans may be. Could be Jackie just loves NYC and wants to be based there. We'll know in time what her connection is with Broadway. I imagine Jackie may have thought Rachel and Zach might feel more comfortable at home without having to compete for attention and better able to establish their own identities. I am quite sure the family is as close, supportive and connected as always.

The question is will Maggie adjust to the move well. I would love to hear that she intends to go to music school at NYU (Jackie, not Maggie ).

I think it is a great idea! Get out from under the clutches of the -EDIT- and Dad. Juliet is 19. If you can make it there, you can make it anywhere. The concert tours are going nowhere. May as well try Broadway. COUNTLESS actors and actresses and singers started in NYC on the stage. TOO many to name. It would be great training even if JE got parts on OFF OFF Broadway-- she ain't gonna be on the stage in PA

I do not believe that the concert tonight is going on at the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center. I lived three blocks from there for 16 years, and saw many shows there. It is a VERY large venue. If only 200 seats are sold, it will be depressing to perform there. I am shocked that her parents would let her go through with that. It will echo off the walls. As I said, I have BEEN THERE many many times and it is large -- I cannot understand why the promoters ( not to mention the director of the venue) could even afford to turn the lights on for that small a crowd. Hopefully, they have a PLAN B-- maybe they plan to bus in seniors or something at the last minute for free. AS a former performer, there is NOTHING worse than a tiny house.

I'm sure it's a positive move for Jackie, she being excited about it. But, it's a little frustrating not knowing the motivation and real purpose professionally speaking, also how her relationship stands with Mom and Dad. And, how does the boyfriend fit in with the move? Perhaps another interview will reveal more. I wish the sisters well, of course. I would think that there exists a solid reason for the girls to move there, either professional or educational. It's hard to imagine them moving to NY just to hang out. Does Jackie really have a vocal style for Broadway? Don't singers on Broadway have to have big, loud voices? Isn't there a lot of dues-paying before one can have a career on Broadway? Maybe it's Juliet who is moving there for an opportunity. There's her modeling work. And she said that she wants to work with Lambda Legal, which is based in NYC. Jackie can keep doing what she's doing. She'll just catch her planes in NY or NJ, instead of Pittsburgh. Ride with Peter to the airport. All the broadway shows I have seen have the performers with headset microphones. Jackie at 17 has most of her legal rights. At 18, her parents will no longer be her legal guardians. Depending on the state, that may be the case now. We need to stop wringing our hands about her as it is really none of our business. Who knows, she may be shacking up with her boy friend. She is on the cusp of adulthood. Full speed ahead.

Moving to New York, it appears that Jackie is entering a new phase in her career as a vocal artist, perhaps with a new vision or an old one she wants to realize. Obviously she is seeking an independent and different way of life. I trust that living with Juliet she will have security in their friendship in sisterhood and shared responsibilities which I think is a mature and reasonable choice for both of them, considering that Jackie will be eighteen soon. Jackie is an intelligent young woman who has shown unusual maturity, confidence, courage and determination...and the tenacity to achieve whatever she puts her mind to. This may be a very positive venture and possibly surprising in its direction, and it will be interesting to see how it develops.
It does present a new dimension of interest with regard to Jackie and her adventure going forward, closing a large impressive chapter in the life and career of a child star with all its fascinations and surprises from those first home-made videos to AGT to performances around the world to the anthem at the presidential inauguration. The history of "America's little sweetheart" to date is incomparable and one for the ages, perhaps to be chronicled one day and made into a movie.
I may be thinking prematurely, but I see the present as initiating a new chapter that we might acknowledge from a slightly different perspective, perhaps with new relevant and more pertinent categories and thread titles. Just a thought of new beginnings and a fresh approach as Jackie pursues her interests and aspirations from her new home base in NYC.

I wish the young ladies all the best in their career pursuits. It will be an adventure for both. Juliet will pursue her modeling career and Jackie will try to navigate Broadway. New York is noted for its many acting workshops. Maybe Jackie will enter a workshop and try her hand at acting.

When April 9th gets here, it will have been a whirlwind eight years. This is indeed the next chapter of her career. Can't wait to see what happens next. If I live to see her 21st birthday, I will be grateful.
