Well, it's run by a non-profit and Jackie is paid a fee to perform, not a percentage of the box office. The risk is that that organization won't ask her again if the turnout is too low. As to advertising, from the examples in this thread, it seems that the sponsors have given her more local advertising than most of her concerts get. Hope they fill up her seating with school and charitable organizations. A half full house is always a downer for a performer, particularly in her home state.

There should not be any seats empty with her voice imo , no excuses if her fan base is correct about her . people know who she is by now , her name should be enough , if not there are indeed reasons for all empty seats .

Jackie was stunning tonight, simply beautiful. First half she wore the light blue floor length dress with the sequin top, second half the the gorgeous off the shoulder red dress. The house was packed, although not sold out. There were seats along each side, and toward the back of the main floor unoccupied, my best guess, 3/4-7/8 filled. Balcony was less, a third to half. Strong attendance for a Wednesday night. Not many younger folks, mostly an older (counting myself) crowd. Jackie was funny and engaging, she made a number of funny comments, like not getting her wish of a White Christmas this year, again, because it forecast showed it would be too warm this year. We were also treated to some special effects in the form of snow falling on us during Believe at the end of set 2. Jackie got somewhat emotional when introducing How Great Thou Art in describing how her grandmother wanted Jackie to sing it at her funeral, but Jackie couldn't so she recorded it on Two Hearts hoping "that would be good enough". I sensed the emotion during her performance and she started it cautiously, but by the second verse regained her composure. Set List First Half: Lovers The Way We Were Music of the Night Medley: O Mio Babbino Caro Con Te Partiro Somewhere (Here Jackie Introduced Peter who introduced the "1939 Song that won the Oscar, sung by a Cartoon Cricket") When You Wish Upon a Star The Prayer The Impossible Dream How Great Thou Art (Standing O... Ok, it was just me, but I was really enthusiastic and a little shocked no one joined me) Think of Me (Standing O, and others joined me this time Second Half: I'll Be Home for Christmas White Christmas Ave Maria All of the Stars Set Me Free Interlude: Peter playing a medley of the Peanuts Christmas songs Starry, Starry Night The Christmas Song O Holy Night Believe (Standing O) Encore: Nessun Dorma (Standing O)

Thanks for the report, Rick! It's great to hear that it ended up being a good turnout. I'm shocked that more didn't join you on the standing ovation for How Great Thou Art. That has been the major highlight for me at each of my 4 Two Hearts concerts, and it was a mostly full house standing ovation each time. I like the lineup of songs she has, a good mix of Christmas & her regular songs.

which ave maria did jackie sing? Recently, she has preferred the Caccini-Vavilov version, although she did sing the Caccini/Vavilov and the Schubert versions at the Festa Italiana in 2016 and the Schubert version on her Prelude To A Dream (cut 12) album released Nov. 2009. The AGT Final in Sept. 2010 was the Bach/Gounod version.

Right, except the AGT one was the Bach/Gounod. Also, she sang the Vavilov at the Festa concert itself, but the Schubert at the mass there. Her Schubert can also be heard on YT at the Houston concert, her first headliner. For those interested, Gounod wrote the melody (Jackie's part) to go with the first (in C major) of Bach's The Well-Tempered Clavier, a series of exercises in each of the keys. #1 starts at 1:12
