If you use the Recent Posts method of keeping track of new posts, and you have Firefox for PC's, I have a solution for not having to memorize or jot down the Total Posts number. This might also help in other situations where you need to keep track of previous page information. For Firefox, there is an Extension called Internote that allows you to place a sticky note on any page and the sticky note will be there even if you close the page and will be there when you reopen the page. Once installed, it adds itself to the Tools menu item and is fairly intuitive to use.
Here is a screenshot of jackieevanchofans.proboards.com/ in a Tab showing an Internote sticky:

And here is a screenshot of Internote in the Tools/Add-ons Menu:

Once you have Internote installed and jackieevanchofans.proboards.com/ up and the Total Posts visible, click on Tools/Internote and Add New Note. A yellow note will appear ready to enter some text. Enter "Total Posts: " and the current Total Posts number. Right Click inside the note and click Manage Note. A box will appear and make sure that "On which page?" has "One Only" and the URL is jackieevanchofans.proboards.com/. Everything else is OK. Just click "Close" and your sticky note will appear on that page forever until you delete it.
I like to resize it and move to the most inconspicuous place on the page so it isn't a distraction.
If you have any problems, I'll try and find someone to help. (Just kidding)
