Have to disagree with you there, BG. In fact I find that statement quite astonishing. And, Jackie is doing better at finding people who want to hear her sing, and pay to do so, than many others. You seem to set a high bar for her, as regards raw popularity. Miss Bear is not exactly filling stadiums yet, either. Do outdoor venues count?
What i like about this girl is they permit her to be a delightful teen and she does dress in class when it may be called for , there are fewer fans of the piano so large numbers viewing and hearing her is not easy but overseas it can be more to their liking , she creates new works with her ability not just playing but composing , she is very bright .

I can't help but feel that the present controversy presents the opportunity to gain a new perspective on Jackie's direction moving forward, at least for those who are willing. Jackie is a dynamic young woman with integrity who will determine her path in pursuit of her own ideals not to be dissuaded by any consensus of opposition to her vision, whatever that may be. She may continue her singing career as much as possible while maintaining her principles in support of her sister, Juliet. But, I believe she will not compromise them for the sake of advancing a career for herself to satisfy those who think she should value success over consideration to her beloved family. She's aware of the potential of a diminishing career as a result of her devotion, and I believe she's willing to accept it.
Expectation brings with it the inherent possibility of disappointment with anyone. It's easy to make Jackie responsible and blame her for one's dissatisfaction. Some blame Juliet. The real question in my opinion is, are you a fan of Jackie Evancho or a fan of your own idea of who and what she should be for you, or the world for that matter? I, for one, am grateful for having witnessed the young lady who from age ten has achieved a legendary career not likely to be equaled much less surpassed, and a true artist who's body of work I will treasure always. What she brings to us in the near or distant future is not to be anticipated as much as to be accepted and appreciated for what it is as she offers it. She owes us nothing. Rather we should be indebted to her for having entered our hearts with sincerity, her passion to sing, and the desire to "help make the world a better place", having brought peace or joy to those in need. However she finds it gratifying is her's alone to determine. We should not impose our ideas of what success should mean to her, any more than we should upon any person who follows his or her own heart in search of self-fulfillment. Rather, we may choose to benefit from her adventure in whatever way it manifests, or not. I say farewell to those who have their own conception of how it should unfold and for what purpose. Follow some other singer who appeals to your fantasies. Jackie Evancho is the real deal. She deserves acknowledgment for her courage in making herself vulnerable to stand up for her beliefs and the willingness to continue offering the gift of her enchanting voice as well. One of lesser character might have conceded to defeat either in favor of family or career. She continually teaches us to look at ourselves.

Thxs CLeonard
A great post from a scholar and a gentleman. You have stated my exact sentiments and I encourage everyone to look inward with honesty and see if you feel strongly about your own views and if you realize they are contrary to those of Jackie. If so then have the courage to move on to new things with at least some fondness for what brought you to Jackie in the first place and with our wish that you find the true contentment that you seek .

This is why I have followed this forum and the prior one for so many years. I find that Jackie while fighting the good fight and staying true to herself, transcends politics to take a laser like focus on what she cares about. This forum started as a place for fans of Jackie Evancho to follow her life both good and bad and to support her. I hope that we can get back to the heart of the matter and drop our bickering. I am 67 and hope to stick around long enough to see and hear Jackie for many years to come.

Thank you, Cleonard for this summary. It is still unbelievable for me, what this girl - and now young woman - managed in just seven years. Jackie set her mark in music history already.

There are other worthy mentions to CLeonard's list such as singing in duet with Sarah Brightman, Jose Carreras, Placido Domingo, Andrea Bocellie, Sumi Jo. She also appeared at Carnegie Hall with a world renown flutist. Oh my... CLeonard....you did a great job but full justice would have required at least several more hours to itemize what JME has accomplished.
The bottom line is that CL started something that is simply overwhelming and so much more enjoyable to reminisce about than pursuing unsatisfying debate about something so trivial in comparison

You forgot Christopher Dallo-The Prayer and Cody Karey-The Prayer. i had the privilege of a conversation engagement with Mr Dallo and i let him that i thought the duet with Jackie was most enjoyable for she was so happy looking and so comfortable singing together with him , i believe it shows in the video , few moments bond , it was special and to my agreement he concluded " it was my honor ."

Thank you, Cleonard for this summary. It is still unbelievable for me, what this girl - and now young woman - managed in just seven years. Jackie set her mark in music history already. And now they are asking Who Is Jackie ? as honest Rick has pointed out her last album was not near any success ,i do think it was NOT due to her voice or singing , now she is the transgender/transsexual Juliet's , ( former Jacob ) sister . This is not a put down or knock down but the reality check or if open minded a realization and should be discussed on a Jackie forum , not blocked . , the question may be where is Jackie the artist herself going , all opinions welcome as always

But then, it may be well to remember that a lime can be quite sour. And, although I do not see doing a 'reality' show as a healthy career move--- for Juliet or Jackie--- it may lead to something better.
