Beachguy, I don't know what Jackie thinks, only what she says and demonstrates. thanks , we all see degrees of music talent or ability , some more , some less but mostly all outstanding for her age from ten , the year she opened eyes and ears to now , I see no musical "" genius " , maybe David Foster sees it , I believe she would laugh at that , or understanding musical structure as I don't believe she studies much of music and as far as what is her future we all know she likes Lady Ga Ga very much , so if coming off the pedestal has a meaning to her then what is the real meaning , is she talking of change or just adding which will be very hard to pull off , is she saying Classical has been good to me but I want more ? , i'm guessing more but does she have it her ? , only time will tell . pop is a very full field of young starlets that people already know of so it would be a start up for her , I could say she will be great and wonderful to get a like on comment but I am not trying to be negative but honest of my feelings .

Child Jackie went straight to the top in Classical style singing; there's got to be some manner of genius involved in that. Classical now is the easy road for her, but she wants what's out on the highway. She is starting to make inroads in pop, but "Got to pay your dues if you want to sing the blues and you know it don't come easy," sang Ringo Starr.

I agree we each have our own references to assessing talent and what is deserving of special recognition and what is not. Jackie officially stands with Beverly Sills and Julie Andrews as recognized vocal prodigies. Prodigy by definition is synonymous with "genius". It's apparent to me, having an education in music/voice and to others that Jackie has had an innate "understanding" of music structure that does not require education and study but comes naturally to one who is endowed with unique awareness. Jackie has used that awareness effectively in becoming the artist she is. Prodigious talent does not disappear with age, but develops with maturity. I make no guesses or predictions about her career, but rather I support whatever choices she makes in finding her fulfillment. Constantly questioning what Jackie might be thinking and expressing doubts about the direction she may take, though they may be honest feelings,in my opinion, serves no purpose.

Jackie imo went to the top because of her lets say stunning mature Voice as a child , if you want genius , read about Miss Emily Bear at 6 years old

If Jackie wants to sell out concert after concert she needs to spend her time on the West Coast and not on the East Coast or the Mid West.

"Location, location is the problem, not the music. If Jackie wants to sell out concert after concert she needs to spend her time on the West Coast and not on the East Coast or the Mid West." Yes, you are probably right, but then you might also have an ulterior motive. Don't you live on the West Coast? Actually, I would like that too since I am also so favorably located.

Yes, i am from CA. but to be honest, the last 5 concerts i have been to except for the final night in Seattle were all sell outs.

They are all unique in their own way.

How much has the two events of the NA & Juliet cause cost Jackie ? , I believe more then most people think , concert seats are going to be harder to sell then before the events and plus the seats were not being filled then if over 2,000

Jackie sounds the same to me from years ago , no creative new sounds Have to disagree with you there, BG. In fact I find that statement quite astonishing. And, Jackie is doing better at finding people who want to hear her sing, and pay to do so, than many others. You seem to set a high bar for her, as regards raw popularity. Miss Bear is not exactly filling stadiums yet, either.

Meant no disrespect, just the opposite. But, no pop hits for Emily, either- yet. Which I do NOT regard as a negative indicator regarding her talent!

Disagreements are fine , i do not find much in the way of singing and sound as from years ago from DWM to Two Hearts but we all hear what we hear , all does not need to be the same , i don't set a bar at all as i believe people do set it too high , Miss Bear is not a singer so the size of people of class that enjoy her talents are smaller , i find your statement a little astonishing as i see smaller buyers of Jackie's music and concerts seats so perhaps we are not looking at the same facts as i don't follow her closely ,
