Woody Allen plays clarinet, right? If he weren't Woody Allen, nobody would let him on the bandstand and do this: Clarinet is hard to be really good on, so I shouldn't judge.

Jazz, with its built-in improvisation, is judged by somewhat different standards. There are lots of very good musicians playing in the genre. Varnk, whose posts have been discussed on this forum, is also a clarinet player. I wonder what he'd have to say about Woody's clarinet playing.

Why am I so nervous for Jackie tonight? I know that she will have them in the palm of her hand. This is however perhaps one of the most upscale audience that she has played for. Oh, well this is just me being me. I have GAD anyhow. Can't wait to hear the reaction tomorrow. Are the performers at the Carlyle reviewed in the NY papers? Hoping for a good review.

What, me worry?

Wow, Wow What a beautiful start. She's singing the intro to Over the Rainbow. What a great voice!

Are little girl is really all grown up now. It is like she is stepping through a door to even greater things to come. As the old expression goes, "The past is prelude". I hear Frank Sinatra now, "If I can make it there I can make it anywhere. It's up to you New York, New York."

Ken plays in a non-professional band, I assume as a hobby. He has a degree in music education. I also play clarinet, although not on a regular basis like he does. If you don't want to throw up your hands and give up, don't listen to the clarinet players in the Berlin Philharmonic. And now, for something completely different... Wow, this lady Chloe Feoranzo is GOOD. Very talented, both on clarinet & vocally.

As requested! The intro. Ohmigod, she sounds so good, this is going to be epic. Her next album should be live, I'm thinking.

I play guitar and harmonica, and I'm probably no better than he is. (But, oh God, I wish and hope and pray I am. )
