I am so tempted to do this. It's the same time frame as the NY auto show. Plus a 3 day weekend around Easter which means the Friday or Saturday show. But I only see a minimum of a table for 2 in ticket sales. Go for it. Put the word out and you might find someone who's thinking just as you are. You could share a table. I'd take you up on it myself if I lived in the Northeast, especially knowing Jackie will sing Vincent.

You might try calling the venue to see if those seats are listed separately. EDIT TO ADD: I see Ursus and Miketigfan covered this before I saw their posts. I hope you decide to go.

I just looked at the Yelp reviews and pictures of the Carlyle www.yelp.com/biz/cafe-carlyle-new-york-4?start=20. There are several reviews that mention that there are 9 bar seats and one must get there early for them. Also many reviews complained about the price and/or quality of the food and service.

There are always more complaints at review sites than there are approvals. People tend to post a complaint more than a favorable post. I certainly realize that more people post complaints than approvals. However, I suspect that the information as to how much things cost is correct at the time of the review.
In addition, my main reason for posting this was for the information as to how bar seats were allocated because a previous poster wanted to know about going to the concert alone. As was posted by Miketigfan, one can also find someone to share a table with.

From what i have read about this club it is a very high end NY club and as such is going to be expensive. The downside is you will have to pay for a meal and drinks to see the show. The upside is that Jackie will no doubt put on a great show. This is the same type of venue as the three doors in Seattle and i would drive back there next week to see her again. That was a 1000 mile round trip and well worth my time. The best part of the three doors was that you weren't required to buy food or drink to enjoy the show. They furnished a large bottle of water and a glass for free. I doubt if anything will be free in NY.

I clicked on the various Café Carlisle performances for Jackie and others at www.ticketweb.com/venue/cafe-carlyle-new-york-ny/284974. Although there does not appear to be a way to determine how many seats have been sold for any performance, Jackie has a higher percentage of table sizes listed as sold out than the current performer and the two following her. As one would expect, the Friday and Saturday performances appear to be selling the best.

You have to also realize that a lot of the people going to these shows make reservations the day of the show. It is hard to tell how many will go to these shows but usually the first show will get the most attendance.

I don't know excatly, how it works, but I guess the mangagers of Cafe Carlisle know, what they are doing. They know there audience / customers, they have experience and know which artist they can sell and how long. They know Jackie, they know her standing, they for sure saw already - in minimum - one show of her. If you offer a 17 year old girl ten shows within two weeks, I'm quite sure, they know, that they will sell it.

10 shows are a lot. Can she sell them? Time will tell. Maybe Peter K has some juice there? Maybe her other NY-based collaborators (Dina F, Heather H, others?) will appear? The hotel website listing the various rooms to book for private functions shows the Cafe Carlyle seating only 60 for dining. So we're looking at an intimate and pricey venue. I saw the PR release of the Cafe Carlyle describing itself as a 1930's New York supper club which is quite accurate from my memory of it from years ago. Mostly, chic, older, well-heeled crowd. There to dine in elegant surroundings and hear beautiful familiar songs from generally veteran entertainers. Bobby Short, their "piano man" fixture for years and years, was charming, had a vast repertoire and was loved by the regulars. Sad day when he died. Woody Allen's jazz appearances have also been a tradition for years.

I was delighted to learn Jackie sang Someone to Watch Over Me at The Three Doors supper club in Seattle. That song will be appreciated by the NYC Cafe crowd. I hope PK and Jackie are doing some serious set list brainstorming for this venue. This is not the place to perform more than a select few from Two Hearts. There is only ever one time for a high end NYC Cafe Society introductory debut. Give them a torch song or two Jackie. PK, we're counting on you to do our girl right.

She needs a set list that showcases her ability and versatility. Je T'aime should def be on the list. It's a perfect night club song.

Wouldn't it be great, if on the first or second night, one of her high-powered duet partners showed up and did an "impromptu" number with her? Word would get around. Tony Bennett, I understand, lives pretty much right in the neighborhood. As does, for that matter, Lady GaGa!
