.... I do agree that there is a high likelihood of there being important people in her audience over the ten days of her run in the Big Apple. That can only be good for Jackie, because she never fails to bring it when it counts. That's what I thought too. Maybe, Jackie has some kind of "break through" in the Big Apple.

During her March concert in Pittsburgh, Jackie stated loudly and emphatically that she wanted to play Christine in POTO. I had never heard Jackie state her wish to play Christine so loudly or so emphatically. I agree that winning the role of Christine on Broadway is a daunting challenge for Jackie. I suspect the world of Broadway is as insular as the world of Opera and that Broadway producers, directors etcetera would be hesitant to allow someone from the concert stage into their orbit. I've only seen a couple of Broadway shows (one of them POTO) but I think that microphones/amplification are pretty much standard nowadays on Broadway. Should Jackie ever star in POTO I will do everything I can to be a Mr First Nighter.

I look forward to your opening night review of Jackie, starring as Christine in Phantom. Some months later I'll tell everyone what the Saturday matinee is like. Good luck to both of us. EDIT TO ADD: Is anyone here planning on making it to Cafe Carlyle for Jackie's show?

Yes, I booked a two person table on the first day of sale. My son & I will be there on the 19th. They offered "premium seating" so I went for it. I think this will be a very interesting environment in which to see Jackie perform. I am excited !!!

Please do give a review of your experience since this will also be new for Jackie and the rest of us. Unfortunately, I left that area of the country over 50 years ago, or else I would have loved to attend such a concert.

Yes, that venue will be very much like the Cafe Carlyle, and I look forward to your review in that more intimate setting.

Jackie will have made any adjustments and tweeks by then. You'll see the show at it's most polished. The first order of the day for you and your son will be to enjoy an intimate Jackie show. But whatever you can bring back to us here by way of review, set list, Jackie's wardrobe and impressions and such will be eagerly received. It would have been a real shame if no one from this forum saw this historic performance.

Oh that concert slipped my mind JR. You and Chris will see Jackie's very first intimate cabaret/dinner club show. I need to get over to that thread and badger those poor people to bring us back reviews. Don't tell them I'm coming.

I am very interested in seeing her perform in this kind of an atmosphere. She has done private dinner parties, and social events, so it will not be completely foreign to her.

I wonder how long it will be before Jackie takes up residence at Caesars Palace and owns The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

I am so tempted to do this. It's the same time frame as the NY auto show. Plus a 3 day weekend around Easter which means the Friday or Saturday show. But I only see a minimum of a table for 2 in ticket sales.
