Why do we have to login every time we access this site??? I never do. I think you might have to check "remember me" when you log on, then don't delete your cookies.

When i log on i don't see a remember me box. When you go to the login page you will see two rust colored rectangular boxes. The first box says Username. Right below that is a text area to type in your username. Right below that is a check box that says Remember Me. Check that box, type in your password, and log in. That's all you have to do.

What's a "DM"? DM is what they call a PM on Twitter. I believe it stands for Direct Message.

I joined this Pro Board when the other one slammed the door.
I log on to catch any news of Jackie Evancho.
I keep up with politics with political news.
I do not think this forum should have a political thread.

I do not think this forum should have a political thread. This is a fair opinion, trebor, but the political thread is in the controversial issues board. It's been quite popular with members [edit: since it's the political season...]. Although people disagree with each other, they haven't been disagreeable. Jackie discussions for me can be like a refuge from rough & tumble topics like politics. Threads are easy to avoid if you don't want to read them. I can't really keep up with the threads I want to keep up with, let alone the ones I'd prefer to ignore. So just ignore the politics thread & you'll be happier.

MiltonRand on the Guest thread brings up a point that maybe should concern the Administration- guests can't see the "new" tags on threads with new posts they haven't seen; so if they come here for news about Jackie they might use the "recent posts"- but if they do, lately they will see mostly posts from the Political thread, a definite turnoff at least for MiltonRand. Is there some way to make the "new" tags visible to guests?

The republicans are enjoying all of the crybabys that are doing a lot of complaining.

PGA: I don't see how this could be easily done, unless the site used IP addresses. AFAIK, it ID's us by login name; you have to login to see if there are new posts. Maybe Rick or others know Proboards' rules better than I do, though. I could be all wet (again...), LOL.

I'm ok with a political thread. But let's keep it there. In particular, let's keep it out of shoutbox. That's the first thing a lot of visitors see.
