Jackie has now moved from #3 to #1 in one day. She is also the "Hottest Female Singer of 2018" and "Best Female Singer of 2018". Grace VanderWaal is presently #1 "Best Child Singer of All Time" at 20%. Jackie is #2 at 18%. Michael Jackson is #3 at 11% and all the rest are relatively insignificant. It would be interesting to know the demographic of voters on this poll. It has always surprised me how well Jackie does in these polls considering the relative small amount of plays her videos get, the number of subscribers to her social media, etc. I would expect other, more popular, personalities to swamp Jackie, but that isn't happening. I agree that demographics would be interesting.

I agree that demographics would be interesting. It demonstrates to me that Jackie has a multitude of admirers who are actively promoting her. Often on these polls Jackie appears at first in a 3rd or lower position and moves to #1 and stays there. I haven't seen that she's been surpassed on any poll once she's at the top. I'm not an avid follower of Top Ten polls, only those including Jackie as they appear coincidentally, then I check in once in a while. Two days ago Grace was leading Jackie as Best Child Singer Of All Time by 8%, iirc. Today the difference is 1%. Here's a new one to me: Women With The Most Beautiful Blue Eyes Jackie #1 at 27%, Elizabeth Taylor #2 at 12% www.thetoptens.com/women-with-beautiful-blue-eyes/

Sorry, but on that one, Elizabeth Taylor gets my vote because of those beautiful violet eyes! Great! That will help bridge the gap between what is now 11% for her and 28% for Jackie. Do some of that "multiple voting stuff ".

Some polls, legitimate polls, don't allow it, but most do. Jackie's fans have always been big on doing that.

Jackie's fans have always been big on doing that. What evidence is there that other artists' fans aren't "big on doing that" as well, if they can? Maybe it's a battle of the Multiple voters and Jackie's fans, despite the many competing artists and celebrities, are winning. And, is it the artist or the fans who should be credited when one has made it to the top? Given an even playing field, I'll give it to the artist, because he/she has inspired the enthusiasm that brings results. PS. Those who are annoyed at seeing Jackie "on top" so often should vote against her, no matter who they vote for. Maybe they do and she still wins.

The evidence that other artists' fans don't often vote is the result of the polls. If fans of Taylor Swift were multiple voting on this poll she'd be way ahead of Jackie. Jackie does have a much better singing voice, but Taylor Swift has a much bigger fanbase. So maybe her fans are not as dedicated, or maybe they just don't think spending hours on a meaningless poll helps the artist career. Just for fun, I just spent about an hour voting for Liz Taylor, not because I'm a fan, but just to prove a point. She's in the lead now. I won't vote anymore so it shouldn't take very long to get Jackie back in the lead.

You have proven that Jackie's fans are probably more enthusiastic, or "dedicated", and also that you are "annoyed". Lighten up. This is not an important issue, although such polls can inspire one to investigate an artist further which doesn't hurt anyone's career. It's about exposure. And Jackie's fans want that for her. Of course, the proof is in the talent and the voice, and Jackie has both as one will discover.

Ursus said s/he was often surprised by how well Jackie did on these polls and cer and I simply explained why and that clearly annoyed you. I didn't say there was anything wrong with it, so maybe you should lighten up. Happy Voting!

I just spent about an hour voting for Liz Taylor, not because I'm a fan, but just to prove a point. She's in the lead now. I won't vote anymore so it shouldn't take very long to get Jackie back in the lead Shortly after our debate I noticed that you had succeeded in completely reversing the percentages on that poll in favor of Elizabeth, 28% to 12%. By that demonstration, I must concede to your point. I was not aware that "multiple voting" could be so one-sided, much less aware that an individual could, or would, intentionally affect such a dramatic difference, although your intention was instructional, of course. I see that today Elizabeth leads Jackie by only 2%. Apparently you have inspired some astute fan to help turn things around again, though with not quite the same tenacity, but perhaps at least trying to compensate for your determination to prove a point. Maybe it was his/her intention to give fans a chance with a level playing field again. Who knows for sure. It can only be an assumption. This is amusing, and there's no purpose in pursuing a bitter end to it. Jackie's fans are enthusiastic and "dedicated" as you say, though I expect it's in recognition of her talent, her exceptional voice and versatility. Personally, I think she deserves to be on top, but I won't go to extreme to ensure it.

I think Anon's point was also that, if any young pop star's fans were made aware of these polls, Jackie's fans would be swamped. "Top Tens" makes a business by attracting hits on their site with these constant polls. Something more meaningful might be People's Choice once a year and any other polls that attract media attention, as these do not.

I don't know if I encouraged anyone to turn it around, but I did do a lot of voting this morning to do just that, and will do more tonight when I'm home to be certain Jackie has a large lead. I didn't realize that the voting count only updates about once an hour, which is why Taylor got so far ahead. She was at about 11% and suddenly about 25% when it updated.
