AFAICT, no one has posted George's version of the SSB vid, on the JE's Best YouTube channel: He also includes a bit of footage from one of her previous C-4 performances at the end. Was that 2015? I can't recall. She kept her hair under much better control yesterday.

My immediate reaction to the NA was that there was a mike problem, electrical connection problem, bad mix, or something else major. Maybe they didn't do a sound check that day. That explains Jackie's apparent startled reaction and looking down. She knew there was a problem. She must have had an earphone or speaker where she could hear the problem. I've never seen her react like that. It was not her singing in my opinion. The break seemed like a dropout. They need to own up even more publically, if that is what happened. Of course, the vicious haters would still crucify her. The only other time I've ever seen anything like that startled rèaçtiôn from her was in the AGT Final during Ave Maria when a violin string snapped with a noticeable noise and she shot a funny kindof surprised or quizzical look to the side. At least in either case, she didn't miss a beat going on. She's a real trooper. This is one reason why so many performers lip sync such as Beyonce's NA for Obama and the one done by Whitney Houston in the 1991 Super Bowl during the Gulf War. I hope, you heard this version, which was posted (thwlink) in our Inauguration thread. This sounds very close to, what we are familiar, when Jackie sings the NA. www.canberratimes.com.au/lifestyle/news-and-views/donald-trump-inauguration-jackie-evancho-national-anthem-performance-gets-mixed-response-20170120-gtvwdv.html

The reverb from the Canberra version helps to hide the little glitches. I still think the cold & the long wait were the biggest problems. She couldn't stay warmed up. Her nervousness was a smaller problem IYAM (JMHO!). By the end, she was warmed up & relaxed & did well on the high note, despite the slight sag on the last note ("...brave").
The PBS version, not much different from the others:

I found a "clear" version after a hint in a comment on another YT version:

This one above is much better than the one I saw on Fox Business or CNBC as is the one just below this one in the original posts. I now believe my original comment about Jackie being startled was incorrect as I was so focused on her that I didn't pick up then that she was actually looking down at the band conductor or band. The better mix or perhaps reverb processing helped a lot with the different NA sources. She had sat there two hours +. There was rain at least part of the time and I think it was in the low 40's. I don't think umbrellas were allowed and, without a plastic cover or raincoat, it can be relatively chilling. Do I think she should have lip synched now? Absolutely not. She would have been attacked for that also. However, it is obvious now why others do it, especially the so-called big names. It is far worse when that goes wrong and blows up. My original comment about a violin string breaking during Jackie's Ave Maria on the AGT finals was a brain lock or something. I knew it was a large harp string in my mind but my fingers typed violin. I have corrected my original post.

Another take of the rehearsal:

]Another take of the rehearsal:
This is obviously the PA system as the crowd hears it. The media and TV, at least most of it, was probably separate from this system. The sound checks were apparently for the PA system only. Whether some media channels set up there own sound and did their own sound checks while others took a general feed that may or may not have been properly checked is unclear. At least the President and the audience on site apparently heard the superior version. The story I remember about the famous Whitney Houston version at the 1991 Super Bowl was that the TV and media feed was the prerecorded lip synched version while the stadium heard her live version. So the systems can be totally separated. I did not check this 1991 history today so I am going by my memory. At least home tv was lip synched.

Another take of the rehearsal:
She sounds much more confident here than in the actual performance, especially the version which I heard on TV. The only problem here is that the band is too loud relative to her. That was much better in the actual performance.

Jackie posted the "reverb version" on her own channel:

Edit: I think they require all Super Bowl SSB singers to pre-record it. If they sing it live, that version never goes further than the local stadium. The pre-recorded version goes out on TV.

George had a previous vid up on his JE's Best YT channel (which I posted here, now deleted), but he deleted it. He now has a high reverb version (maybe even more than the version on Jackie's channel; I can't tell for sure) with better overall audio.

Kudos on Team JE for posting the 'Reverb' version. Given the amateur recordings of the rehearsal and performance, it's obviously more in line with what the audience at the venue actually heard, than the dry Mic'd Network feeds.

This is a slightly longer version of Fox & Friends from Jan 19th on "Boomer Ang's" channel. It has a quick pre-interview of her when she's in make-up.
