I was kind of hoping she would go indi, but there you go, the rumour mill has started. Being courted by three companies and might announce this in the next week.
Is this true? Let the banter begin.

If you think she is a little popular now because of the recent publicity, wait until after she perform's.

Actually, so was I. What exactly do "record companies" do these days? I truly don't understand their business models. They "distribute" CDs, but CDs are going away as streams & downloads take over. Artists can deal directly with their fan bases as the distribution of music becomes cheaper & cheaper. I guess vinyl is making a comeback, but is that enough? Maybe the point is that Jackie will have artistic control over her music. That way she can follow her heart & put out whatever music she loves.

It is intriguing! Some possibilities are: 1. As pgantioch suggests, more artistic control by Jackie is the sweetener, 2. Industry sees the Writing on the Wall and made a big offer, 3. Other factors including finalising the old contract are included, 4. Page6 is fibbing again, jokes on us, or 5. We have absolutely no idea, and should just have a beer, sit down and watch what happens next. (Never a dull moment watching Jackie's career unfold!)

I just went to lurk at Amzn & read a few pages. Why did I bother? There are a few true fans there, & Rick posted, but Jackie's trolling anti-fans & haters rule the Amzn roost. If there are ways to spin the contract story into a negative, they'll find them - all of them.

Don't post on Amazon, its probably the main reason for the decrease in fans. I read that crap and ask myself "Do I really want to be associated with an artist with those kind of fans"

When does the Billboard classical chart come out? On Thursday? It'll be interesting to see how she does.

According to Google, "The tracking week for sales and streaming begins on Friday and ends on Thursday, while the radio play tracking-week runs from Monday to Sunday. A new chart is compiled and officially released to the public by Billboard on Tuesday." So her #2 position reflects sales before the inauguration performance. She was getting a lot of media, but at least on Amzn, sales jumped after that performance. So we'll see what happens on Tuesday.

"Someday at Christmas" is down to #9. Not a bad run, though. That makes 11 weeks in the Classical Top 10, half of it at the number one or two spot.

In many ways I see a problem with the concerts that are before the release of Two Hearts. Many of us were expecting the release of this album before the end of last year and the concert bookings would be new music. The release of AOTS, WOTW, APOC, Coming Home were all teasers to be included in her new release. Now fans are considering skipping the scheduled concerts and wait for any after 3-31 that will be a mix of her new POP and new CC. Making the announcement before the CA, FL and Pittsburgh concerts may indeed hurt ticket sales.

That's a crying shame. The three California concerts Friday Saturday and Sunday this week are virtual sellouts.
