I think it is very cute , btw you should see some humans It Lays eggs, suckles its young, has a very low temperature, has a pouch, back feet face backwards, has poisonous spurs on its back feet, its only relative is an ant eater that looks like a porcupine. The Echidna and Platypus are the only Monotremes in existence. Egg laying mammals, somewhat stuck between the Reptiles and Mammals.

True except for the bit about the pouch, which the platypus does not have. The other monotremes, the echidnas, do have pouches. Female monotremes lactate but have no nipples. Male echidnas have a four-headed penis.

Male echidnas have a four-headed penis. Yep I was kind of aware one did not have a pouch and the 4 headed dick and lack of nipples, but I also heard that the reason for their feet being backwards was that the body did not twist during embryonic development. However I have not found any documentation in recent years, I think I heard this back in high school. The Echidna can also go into a form of hibernation during bush fires. This allows it to reduce its breathing while buried way from the heat, but subject to the toxic fumes. Truly amazing is the lack of relative between the two. We get Echidnas out in the desert and its kind of weird looking at a creature with no relatives, almost like a missing link between us and birds or reptiles. The Platypus exists in cooler climates and can survive in ice cold water, again with the help of its lower body temperature. They sit around 32 degree from memory, where most other mammals are around 37. Echidna's were thought never to enter REM during sleep, then they were found to only enter it if the temperature was right. Both monotremes have an embryonic fight over male and female development, the male side will surge ahead with development where as the female side will hold back development if the condition are not right. This only lasts until the egg is developed, and the female looses effective control over its development. This is a feature of mammals, but not reptiles, so the monotreme is seen more as a mammal than a reptile. Platypus are also found in warmer climates, but are shy and hard to find, Echidnas don't give a crap about what is around, they just go about their business. Crazy weird little critters, almost a lost relic in time.

Even in remote areas you have to be lucky to see more than a tail splash as it disappears under water. The only place I know where you can reliably see a platypus in the wild is Eungella National Park in Queensland. I didn't believe this when first told, but I went there and sure enough got to watch a couple of wild platypus swimming around taking no notice of us at all. Here is a bit of video someone took from this same spot.

Some think they sit in ( Meaetnzam ) when hearing Jackie M Evancho ? A mystery !!! What does a Atlantic puffin do or go in the winter ? these delightful looking seabirds return to the same partner in the spring with wings beating like of a manic pule with bodies of a blur of black and white , a flash of orange from cartoonishly large beaks , their fearless clown-face is a sight that soothes the soul of many a bird watcher on those cliffs to see the " little friar of the Arctic "" , they will change their costume for the breeding season , is the warming water temp upsetting their food chain as many in Iceland , Norway , Scotland have not produced off springs . newer research is needed . i believe Jackie M Evancho would indeed like these if she learns of them .

Hahaha!
That's different.
I laugh because this summer our 4 year old grandson was staying with us one day. My wife got out a jig saw puzzle to entertain him. He was excited for about 2 minutes, then he looked at her and said one word: Boring
I can remember spending whole afternoons with a puzzle, but they had lots and lots and lots of pieces!
