Jackie's new album which, we think, will be released sometime early next year. Jackie says March, maybe! Stay tuned. She said the Two Hearts title means where her singing is at the moment, between Pop and Classical (she said Opera). Her choice of the word "opera" over "crossover" is interesting

Her choice of the word "opera" over "crossover" is interesting I think it was the questioner that introduced "opera". Jackie said it, then shifted to "classical".

Phil Collins and Chris Isaak both have songs called "Two Hearts". I wonder if Jackie's is a cover or one of hers.

For Jackie, it seems that "Two Hearts" is the name of the album itself. There may or may not be a song of that name on it. Also, she mentioned that it refers to her classical & pop hearts, & didn't say anything about songs by either Phil Collins or Chris Isaak. She may not even be aware of their prior work.

Once again, I get another reason to dislike facebook. I was able to watch about 3.5 minutes of the video and then "poof" the page goes white. I could hear her talk but FB says I have to sign in to continue. Elitists!! So here is the youtube link to the same video:

Was the purpose of this particular format for the interview to be as ANNOYING as possible? If so, they succeeded admirably - I quit watching after about five minutes or less! It seemed as though Jackie couldn't even see the "questions" so just kept repeating herself.

Jackie kept responding to questions, sometimes with things like "Thank you!" but you couldn't tell who she was responding to, or what they'd said! Or maybe you're right, half the time she wasn't responding to questions at all.

Wow! I think I like it. The minor chords make it sound somber, which is OK. It does seem odd to be seeing her in a pub like that, in different attire than we're used to. But hey, it works. I can't control the volume on the vid, though, which is annoying. The song doesn't sound easy to sing, either, given the large jumps. Thanks much to rogeraphil for posting it.

I find Jackie's pub performance of her new song very interesting, and extremely promising. Could be there is something extra emerging (or being released for the first time), a new passion. Maybe she needs this alternative outlet, presenting her own creations to a new audience, without the baggage of the past. A sign of maturation as an artist! Found this: 8 Singers Who Have Given Amazing Surprise Performances www.huffingtonpost.com.au/entry/singers-surprise-performances_n_4533413The list starts with: Andrea Bocelli Michael Bublé Joshua Bell

I don't know about you, but I think the E's video policy is driving more fans away than bringing them in. And don't give me that lame argument that it's the legalities preventing open recording at concerts! Performers with a greater magnitude of success don't seem to have a problem with fan videos, why should Team E? JMO ☺♪♫ I think it's simply that fan vids are outside their control, and it's been obvious for years somebody on the team is a serious control-freak! Thanks for the snippet of her pub performance... interesting turn, but again there are so many pop singers who sound good, I think (for what that's worth) she is missing her true talent and opportunity pursuing that path.

I'm encouraged by the inclusion of one or more violins in the accompaniment - it gives it at least a little CC-type "atmosphere", as of course does Jackie's delivery. (Or at least what we have of it so far.)

These 30 second teaser video's drive me crazy!! There is no way to evaluate a 3 or 4 minute song in 30 seconds! I don't think up and coming artists send 30 second intro videos to prospective agents, so why make them available to the people that pay the bills? If the fans like it, they will buy it! Some may not cause they have the whole thing, but the majority will. Revenue loss will be minimal, but fan satisfaction and loyalty, IMO, is worth it. The same argument can be said for concert videos! The Charleston concert is a case in point. We are told by attendees that the video military were out in force, even chastising a wheelchair bound ticket holder for attempting to record Jackie's performance. Yet, what shows up on Youtube a few hours after the concert? A full length, 3 minute, 24 second video of All I Ask Of You available to anyone. Will that wheelchair bound person ever go to another Jackie concert? Will that wheelchair bound person relay their bad experience to others? And what shows up the next day on Youtube? Another full length, 4 minute, 24 second Mike's video of Say Something!! I don't know about you, but I think the E's video policy is driving more fans away than bringing them in. And don't give me that lame argument that it's the legalities preventing open recording at concerts! Performers with a greater magnitude of success don't seem to have a problem with fan videos, why should Team E? JMO ☺♪♫ Edit: Changed "fan" to "Mike's".

Team E should ban Videos, but make selected quality recordings and put Youtube. This is about consolidating the fan base instead of them being spread across fan accounts that one day get deleted or neglected. This is the problem with signing to a label. They limit your content and put it on their account, so the day you leave the label they can neglect your account and promote their own artists. Jackie and all other artist need to ensure that when they sign they keep the right to publish on Youtube.
As for Haunting, I love the sound, its about time. As for the 30 second clip, if you read her comment she is trying to get people to repost and when they hit a target number then she will release the entire clip on Youtube.
My only issue is they could easily take an audio recording off the desk, and remix it over the video. All the software is free and easy to use. The only exception is a strategy to keep poor quality on social media to entice people to by the downloads.
