My confusion is total !!! Look at this link: www.trustarts.org/performance/51030/tiers/showFirst Tier and Second Tier: (nearly) no tickets sold. Directors Circle: about half the tickets sold. Orchestra: less than half the ticktes sold. Now look at this link: www.ticketmonster.com/buy-tickets/971476?aid=16280&sid=benedumcenterFirst Tier and Second Tier: nearly sold out. They offer just one ticket in First Tier for 124$ and 6 tickets in Second Tier. Directors Circle: Only 6 tickets are avaliable on the right side and 6 Tickets in Center (I guess). The rest is sold. Orchestra: there are all in all about 30 to 40 tickets avaliable, but the rest is sold. My question to all of you: has anybody an explanation for this?

The second link is not ticketmaster but ticket monster, which is a ticket reseller and only list tickets that are up for resale.

But if you have a home page like ticketmonster, you can't say they are scalpers. That is professionell ticket selling. For me scalpers belong to the street.

I'm wracking my brain, to no avail. Where is that picture from? As it is directly from Jackie, it is from something that hasn't been shown yet.

Ah...you hinting it's the Varela PBS special? It could be. Anyway, it is an excellent photo. Practically nothing changed in the last weeks concerning ticket selling. The Benedum will be very empty. That is really sad. If that happens and I would be Jackie, I never would do a concert in Pittsburgh again. www.trustarts.org/performance/51030/tiers/show

I realize that there is currently a fair amount of confusion regarding the level of ticket sales for this concert. Regardless, I will move on with planning our fan gathering, per the following:
Anyone planning to attend the Pittsburgh FG, please pm me or add a comment here, and include the number (and names if possible) in your party.
Reservations at Braddock's Brasserie Restaurant, located in the Renaissance Hotel, 107 6th Street, Pittsburgh, have been confirmed for 5 PM. We will be in a private area on the 2nd level of the restaurant. It is only a few blocks walk to the Benedum from here. There is a parking garage just across the street, as well as two (2) others closer to the venue.
Here is the link to their website:
braddocksrestaurant.com
I will continue to add further updates, as new information is received. Last time, we had a special menu provided for our group, but I'm not sure if that will be offered this time. Braddock's is famous for their pierogies, so if you have never had these b4, I would recommend giving them a try. They are a Pittsburgh tradition.
Thx, Len
Here is our current list of attendees: Len Rausch & eight (8) - Phyllis - Norma - Rachael - Ava - Missy - Nicol - Daniel - Leila Ken & Johanna Varn Diana Lynn Smiley - Vanessa Jack Babbert Jim Wood Rick Lizzari PJ Trautwein Mike Ferguson Catherine Novak - Julie - Guest1 - Guest2 Tim Whitenight - Guest
Current count = 24 Since I have heard that some who are attending the concert were not aware of these FG plans, I'm just moving this announcement to the latest position in the thread. I hope that it helps. I'll add a comment in the shoutbox, as well. Regards, - Len

That is professionell ticket selling. For me scalpers belong to the street. I'd feel pretty scalped if I paid their prices.
