I'm amazed no one has mentioned Emily, yet. She has been composing and playing the piano since before Kindergarten! Here is a video about one of her latest compositions.

We are all familiar with Jackie Evancho's heartfelt tributes to veterans over the years. Another prodigy, artist, and composer, Emily Bear, has also chosen to salute those in uniform. Here is her composition for orchestra and piano, entitled "The Bravest Journey." (Her entire performance, with the orchestra, starts at 7:15.)

I have her album and booklet she wrote at 6 years old , she seems to mature better and better in mind and body .thank you Emily for her time and effort and thoughts for this .

It surprised me to find out that Emily Bear will be attending the Berklee College of Music in Boston. I personally think that Jackie could also benefit from attending a specialized college. Website www.berklee.edu/undergraduate.

I don't even remember when I became aware of Emily Bear. Probably on the YT sidebar when I first starting viewing Jackie's videos, the way YT works, as another young girl prodigy. There are at least a couple more parallels with Jackie: her genre is not likely to gain her a mass following, especially among people her own age, but she enjoys great respect among people in her genre and in the music business generally, and has no trouble attracting quality opportunities. Also her stage manner is endearingly engaging, as she performs with seeming ease and enjoyment.
If not for Jackie I'd probably have followed her more closely and maybe been a "fan"- but me having something of a sentimental bent, I guess, Emily's music, while hugely amazing, impressive, and interesting, doesn't tug at my heartstrings like Jackie's.

I agree that Emily's music does not tug on the heartstrings like Jackie's does, And IMHO her singing is worse than Jackie's piano playing (there is a video of EB singing on the Queen Latifiah show), but what impresses me that most about EB is her composing and her desire to make herself better. (Also her name, but ...)

Website www.berklee.edu/undergraduate. Off topic on a thread which is off topic anyway since it is not about Jackie but since I had never heard of Berklee I went to their site late last month. Now I keep getting ads from them.

In the moment in Europe till Dec 23 Headliner at Night of the Proms Germany, in Germany next to Peter Cetera (Chicago).Roger Hodgson (Supertramp), Melanie C (Spice Girls), Culcha Candela (german hip hop), John Miles, orchestra, choir, - in NL, B concerts with Joss Stone. She is the youngest headliner in history. Here with John Miles But I have a question, a multi platinum record producer .. Patrick Hamilton...posted this photo http://instagram.com/p/Bb48vvCAyz5 Do you know more about him, he has some credits on Evanchos Two Hearts? album also Katherine Jenkins, or some new country US star??? I don't know more. If they work on Bear's projects, if she know composes, arranges for him...perhaps also Evancho songs? Perhaps you know more. Btw Bear will be awarded in May 2018 with Illinois highes public honor by Gouverneur Rainer.

Very happy for all the success that Emily is enjoying these days. I remember seeing her for the first time on Ellen's show when she was only 6 yo, and she blew me away.

According to an article she wants to do at Berklee "double major in film scoring & contemporary production." For you to realize how big this Night of the Proms tour is de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Night_of_the_Proms_(Konzertreihe) see the headliner in its history In NL/Belgium Bear played two orchestra/choir arrangements by her!!! (If David Foster could beat her???, or if she is not already far better???) each evening an inpromto piece to a story told by one, Bumble Bear Boogie with orchestra and with John Miles. But I really registered to get some information about Patrick Hamilton.

snippet of first two pieces (first Skyfall - Adele - arrangement, composed by Bear, second arrangement, composed but which artist inspired her???) ursus delete cookies, so you won't get any more ads from Berklee and to her singing...I don't know if she will sing in future, her voice print is extraordinary, somewhere she told that she will sing her pop songs..but getting to the Queen Latifah performance...she was 12 yo, she used no enhancement!!! like all the so called talents, she was nervous, this song singing like this is much more difficult than all the Puccini etc. talent performances, her mother etc. studied musical performance so they know...but being on srage with world class musicians at jazz, now at classic headliner at Night of the Proms, she has so much time...perhaps Oscars, Grammys in future... Btw. you will never find a not live or pimped up fake video, with enhanced audio etc.
