I suppose I'll be going. It's only a two hour or so drive from my house. My heart just isn't into this new album. Maybe a live listen will build some enthusiasm.

That's the same thought which I am having about DC, and it is a lot closer than two hours assuming that Metro is functioning. I doubt that the picture of Awakening there is meaningful.

Jackie is having the Picasso affect on some fans. And what do I mean by the Picasso effect? Well, most people that hear the name Picasso think of his cubism art. However, Picasso was a classically trained artist and his early works reflect that fact. www.dailyartmagazine.com/10-early-picasso-works-know/"Man in a Beret" was painted as a 14-year old. Then we have "Science and Charity" painted when 15 years old. A beautiful classic style for someone so young and learning his craft. The "Portrait of the Artist's Mother" is a wonderful example of a classical style of portrait painting done in similar time frames as the prior noted paintings. As can be seen, when Picasso grew older and started to visit other areas, his artwork started to change. He was influenced by the works of Steinlen and Toulouse-Lautrec when he visited Paris in 1900 when he was 18 during the summer and turning 19 on October 25th. This can plainly be seen in his painting "Fairground Stall". Then we also have "The Wait (Margot)" which shows the influence of Vincent van Gogh and the French Les Nabis artistic movement. A hint of use of cubes is throughout this painting. As Picasso matured so did his art as he became a prime driving force in cubism which is an early 20th-century avant-garde art movement that many consider the most influential of the 20th century. It began in Paris when Picasso was in his mid to late twenties. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CubismHere are many examples of Picasso cubism paintings throughout his career. www.google.com/search?tbm=isch&q=cubism+pablo+picasso+paintings&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwipl6PM_YPjAhUXac0KHX27D9UQrNwCCGYoAA&biw=1536&bih=722&dpr=1.25So we have Jackie in her early artistic music life. Definitely classical in style. Now, she is experimenting. Trying to find that special something that further sets her apart. She may never find it. She may find it a year from now or ten years from now. Only time will tell. And why not just try to enjoy the ride?
