Since it’s initial opening in 1936, The Civic has been host to many significant performers, and also, sporting events. Perhaps noteworthy, is the fact that Barbra Streisand appeared here during her first concert tour in 1963! And tonight, Jackie will add her unique artistic mark to the venue, as well! I can’t wait to witness it! 🎤 🎼 🎉 👏

Len RauschPost Concert Notes: Jackie’s performance, last night, was another absolutely spectacular offering. She was upbeat, energetic and, in particular, super engaging w/ the audience. If Jackie was still dealing w/ any health related issues, no one in this audience would have ever been aware of it. In contrast to a few of her most recent concerts, i.e. Thousand Oaks, Lake Tahoe and Las Vegas, where the deletion of a few songs from the full set list was evident, at least to those of us who notice such details, Jackie delivered a full, robust set list, last night; and then some! 🎤 🎼 👏 🎉 Just a few noted highlights from the show: - Jackie appeared on stage wearing a very casual outfit of black, torn at the legs, jeans , a black, long sleeved jersey type top, w/ high laced boots that had to have, at least, 4” high soles and heels. This outfit initially came across as more of a rehearsal/sound check type of outfit. But, of course, she looked absolutely fantastic, and although this was an obvious deviation from all prior “The Debut” concerts, Jackie, as we know, is doing things differently these days; the way that she wants to define herself, so it was, I thought, a most pleasant, fun surprise for us. Then, following her opening numbers, Jackie humorously explained, that although she knew everyone was used to seeing her appear onstage in beautiful gowns and dresses, all of them had been lost w/ her luggage shipment, so this outfit would be it, for the evening. Then, someone shouted out, just paraphrasing here, “We’re here for your beautiful voice!” Jackie laughed, and responded, “That’s right!”, to great applause! - Jackie offered the usual beautiful accolades to her beloved great grandmother (“How Great Thou Art”), her sister Juliet (“No Day But Today”), and to her friends, fans & family in support of being able to realize her dreams (“The Impossible Dream”). - Following her opening song of the 2nd set, “The Way We Were”, Jackie, again surprised us by suddenly bringing up the subject of there being some followers, who still might believe that she is actually lip synching, just as it had come up after her very first appearance on AGT. And, in her own sweet way, she scoldingly said, “That better not include any of you!”, which was received with a huge response of laughter! Then, to further add to our surprise, she offered to impromptivly sing any song that the audience requested! Immediately, there were shouts of several requests from the audience, but she finally decided on “The Prayer”. Needless to say, Jackie totally crushed it, and I’ll never forgive myself for not trying to capture it on video. BTW, my choice was an all time favorite of mine, “Mi Mancherai”, but I was too slow with my request. 🤣 I’ve added a few additional photos here, as well as a few video clips, but I must apologize for some of the poor quality, as the stage lighting was playing havoc with my camera. But, just as Jackie agreed, we’re here for her beautiful voice, so I hope that everyone enjoys them. Off to Cerritos, now! Chow! 😀

There is a video on Youtube, more than 11 minutes. Hurry up or try to load it down. We never know, if it will be deleted.

I wonder if the contents of her lost luggage will eventually show up on eBay.

An earlier post stated that she asked the audience at one point to suggest a song for her to sing, and she then sang "The Prayer".
Also, to be technical "I'm Not That Girl" was not part of the Phantom medley.

Good Catch!! Thanks ursus. I'll put The Prayer at the end of the set list as I believe that's where most performers ask for audience requests.
Corrections on the way.

I was fortunate to attend this concert. Thanks to Len we have a great concert review. My only complaint about Jackie's concert as is always, it ended too soon. It was another great show!
