Wow.
I have been to a Justin Haywood (The Moody Blues lead singer) and Garrison Keillor (famous for the hit Minnesota Public Radio's show A Prairie Home Companion that ran from 1974 to 2016) shows at Cary Hall.
Cary Hall is in the middle of Lexington, Massachusetts. Settled in 1641, Lexington is the site of the first shots of the American Revolutionary War, in the Battle of Lexington on April 19, 1775. It is part of the Greater Boston Area and is the sixth wealthiest small city in the US.
Come early, and you can experience a taste of history as Lexington Common National Historic Site (where the Revolutionary War started) is up the street from Cary Hall. Can check out Buckman Tavern which was the headquarters of the militia. This is from where Captain John Parker's company of militia left the tavern to assemble in two ranks on the common and waited for the British regulars. A single shot was fired to start the War although no one knows who fired the shot. The tavern's interior appears today very much as it did in 1775 and one can see the restored 18th-century taproom with large fireplace and central chimney. Among the many items on display is the old front door, with its bullet hole possibly made by a British musket ball during the battle, and a portrait of John Buckman.
You can even follow the paths done by the troops over to Concord where the British proceeded to try to capture the militia's supplies. A battle occurred at the Old North Bridge in Concord. The militia had 400 men to 100 British soldiers as militia came from many of the surrounding towns including Acton where my kids grew up and went to school (Shin Lim, the winner of AGT Champions, also went to Acton schools contemporaneously with my oldest kids). Isaac Davis of Acton was killed in Concord becoming the first American officer killed in the War. With the resistance, the British did a tactical retreat back to Charleston and Boston. The militia then blocked the egress of Charleston and Boston bottling up the 1,700 British soldiers. The eleven month Siege of Boston started which included the bloodiest single battle of the War at Bunker Hill where the British had casualties and losses of 1,054 (including 81 officers) versus 450 for the militia. Only the Battle of Camden was close at 1,050 militia and 314 British casualties and losses. The British finally abandoned Boston on March 17, 1776 by ship to Halifax, Nova Scotia. This occurred after Henry Knox was ordered by George Washington to take the cannons that had been captured at Fort Ticonderoga to Boston. Once in place on Dorchester Heights, the British commander William Howe saw his position indefensible and he skedaddled.
My daughter took art classes with Oogie Art (world’s number one art portfolio school) in Lexington Center. Oogie is just up the street from Cary Hall.
An old friend had owned a Chinese restaurant in Lexington center which is also near Cary Hall, but he retired after 40 years and sold the location to a local Chinese-Japanese fusion chain group in 2017.
Cary Hall is a relatively small place at 750 maximum seats. Only the side seats and the far back seats are fixed seats and raised. The bulk of the seats in the center are removable and usually are a form of folding chairs. As such, all the center seats are flat with no slight incline.

I thought that Cary Hall was a freshman dorm at your and my alma mater.
Of course, but you would have to be in Troy, NY and not Lexington, MA. Myself, I was in Hall Hall which is the closest of the freshman dorms to the Student Union and the main campus. And I happened to be in the first room of the 2nd floor and thus I was one of the few who were the closest to the campus as a freshman. A few extra minutes of sleep after those late nights of studying, and partying, and still be able to get to class on time! I then moved to a Sharp Hall suite through graduation. Of course I had the room closest to the door and we had a first floor suite so I could go and come easily. Then in grad school I naturally got my own shared apartment with a few of the RPI hockey players as I was the Head Hockey Manager (RPI is a Division 1 school and has won the NCAA National Championship twice. Adam Oates played on that last championship team and was elected into the NHL Hall of Fame). And, of course it was at 79 College Avenue literally across the street from the main campus. Just had to roll out of bed, out the door and walk across the street and I was on campus. I see that 79 College Avenue still exists. But RPI has built a parking garage on the edge of campus at 78 College Avenue so it is a little more difficult to get on campus than when I was there. I had a few other apartments over the next few years in downtown Troy and some blocks down from RPI campus on 15th Street. Interesting times as the Vietnam War was still going. Had tickets to Woodstock. One of my buddies helped at the stage with the electrical problems they had especially with those caused by the rain. Got to go to the Montreal Olympics and the 200th anniversary concert in Boston with 500,000 people. Lucky to have met some MIT fraternity brothers of APO and got to sit dead center of stage with them. Snorkle down in the Florida Keys during school break and visit Disney World when the lines were non-existent. Flying around the country with the hockey team. Started the performance cafe in the basement of the Student Union. Bridge. Chess. APO service fraternity. Bowling and winning the national collegiate doubles championship. Lots of fond memories.

Any chance we can get a signing opportunity before/after the concert? Unlikely. Sometimes will sign/take pictures after concert while leaving.
