America's Got Talent: The Champions is an upcoming reality television series. It serves as a spin-off/All-Star season, featuring high-placing contestants of the previous thirteen seasons of AGT and other Got Talent competitions around the world. It will premiere in January 2019.
Contents[show] Production
Filming will take place at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium on September 27 and 30, October 3, 5, 10, 14, and 17, 2018. [1]
Auditions
There will be 5 auditions total. Each audition will contain 10 acts, with only two going through. There is one golden buzzer per episode, so four judges plus one host result in five golden buzzers for each of the five episodes. Found this by clicking on some links! Don't think I've seen this before.
"America's Got Talent Wiki"
BTW: Shouldn't all posts for Americas Got Talent be in it's own thread? After all, AGT is where it all began for Jackie!

Still called an opera singer. Prince Poppycock is also, and IMHO he was even further from one.

The AGT wiki has now been updated to show Jackie as "Classical Crossover/Pop singer". (And thanks for moving my post to the correct thread)..

She's still an "opera singer" too.

You think you're being funny, but I can remember when Oprah first appeared on national daytime TV with her talk show, promos for it actually referred to her (in good fun) that way in order to create name recognition.

Michael Grimm is not on the list. Excerpt from a long comprehensive article in The Gazette Review: What Happened to Michael Grimm -update 2018 "...Although he has hasn’t released any new material since 2015, it would seem that he’s been keeping busy with various concert performances. For instance, looking at his official site, we can see that he has a number of shows planned for the next little while- including ones to be held at Las Vegas, Henderson, and Summerlin." gazettereview.com/2017/03/happened-michael-grimm-news-updates/

Lindsey Stirling isn't competing on the show, nor is Amira Willihagen, nor Patricia Janeckova (who I believe appeared on a Got Talent show in Europe). Not everyone is. They have other priorities. If it were just AGT runners up, that could well be true. Paul Potts is supposed to be on, don't know if he did appear However, since there is no "public" vote and it's either the judges or, at the end, 50 Superfans (picked by Simon Cowell), the outcome will be whatever serves Cowell interests best. From BGT, Susan already taped a couple of weeks ago, and got the gold buzzer and went through the Finals. Paul Potts is on the list, don't know if he appeared. Still not even sure Susan is "competing", since Simon said earlier this year "Susan IS Got Talent" Meaning she is the authentic premise of the show. A total unknown who hit it really big, because of that TV platform. And is still signed to Sony/Syco which is releasing her 8th album later this year. But Susan, unlike most of Got Talent people, has the virtue of gratitude. If Cowell asks her to do something, she's there.

I've never watched AGT but from what I've read, the Golden Buzzer means they go through to the semi-finals, not the finals. Why anyone who has had success would lower themselves to that is beyond me, especially someone like Paul Potts who actually won. And there's no logic to who the competitors are. Some winners, some that never advanced far in the competition, some who have or had successful careers, most from AGT, a few from other Got Talent Shows. Very weird indeed. I never watched it yet and I won't start now.

It should be for people who were very good but never got anywhere, and there's a lot of them, rather than for those who are already professionals.
