Hmmm. The "holy child" has left the building. She's worn that dress a lot of times already Julia. I know that, Johnny. It's not the dress, although it's split to her navel, it is her attitude and expression. She is strutting in that dress and it reminded me of nothing so much as the old western movies with their dancehall hostesses with hearts of gold.

What is it about Costa Mesa that has produced such strong sales there? The demographics? Jackie seems to do better in upscale/older semiresort communities. I think the fact that it's Christmas music has a lot to do with it.

Well, obviously, unless you were in the 1st and 2nd rows, that wasn't apparent and wasn't supposed to be. But, as I say, it wasn't the dress. What I haven't seen before is the expression and attitude. If Jackie is going to pursue that direction, I would suggest she study the videos of Helene Fischer's shows. Beautiful and exceedingly talented, Fischer manages to project sexiness with such good humor that her shows attract massive audiences of all ages, from toddlers to the elderly. Plus, she is aimed solidly at the middle class with a particularly German genre which I think would be akin to American Songbook. Of course, she also produces terrific shows to back her.

I've been saying that for a long time now, Jackie has to put some dance routines and professional dancers to her shows to liven them up a little bit.

Yes, Helene does produce a terrific show, they're electric because she's truly an entertainer. She does a lot of dancing and doesn't only sing slow songs so she appeals to all age groups. I imagine that in time Jackie could do the same if she wanted to, but so far that doesn't seem to be the case.

Having heard from the peanut gallery who always have advice for Jackie, I'm interested in reading a review of her performance.

www.facebook.com/groups/theamazingjackieevancho/permalink/1789307841178003/Len Rausch is with Frank Morley. 21 mins Vacaville, CA Review _ 10/19/18 My review of Jackie's 10/19/18, Vacaville, CA concert! Enjoy! Jackie's return to the West Coast, following her most recent, spell binding 09/14/18 performance for the San Juan Mission Capistrano Benefit concert, was at the Vacaville Performing Arts Theatre, Vacaville CA on 10/1918. This venue, opened in April of 1993, is a relatively modest, modern facility, with an intimate, 500 seat capacity and an excellent sound system and interior acoustics that allowed all audience members to experience the full beauty of Jackie’s mesmerizing voice. Among the many nationally and internationally known entertainers to grace the Theatre’s stage have been Debbie Reynolds, Lou Rawls, The Smothers Brothers, Tony Orlando and many others. And now, the venue can ‘proudly’ add the name of the incomparable Jackie Evancho to that list of the “Greats” of our times! The format for this concert was consistent with many of Jackie’s recent concerts, with Jackie center stage, Peter at the piano, and the beautifully incorporated string accompaniment of 4 violins, 2 violas and 2 cellos. Bravo Peter, for his musical mastery in pulling it all together with such amazing perfection. - Dresses: > 1st set - Basic black, full length gown w/ a scarlet red floral pattern. > 2nd set - Dazzling gold, full length gown, which always generates "ooh's" and "awes” from throughout the audience. - Attendance: > ~ 90+% of capacity. - Following her opening performance of "Lovers", Jackie very sincerely thanked everyone for attending, and then announced that she would be including favorite selections from her current, and past, CD's in tonight’s concert. She also noted, with the approach of Halloween, Thanksgiving, and then Christmas, how much she absolutely loves this time of the year. She has a magical way of pulling her audience into the moment, and just plain making you feel good! I have never known any other performer who could connect with their audience on such a personal and heartfelt level. It’s no great mystery as to why Jackie is so endeared to the hearts of her fans! - Of special note, Jackie, once again, provided touching dedications of "The Impossible Dream" to her Mom and "How Great Thou Art" to her Great Grandmother. You could literally hear a pin drop during each one. 1st Set Song List: - Lovers - The Way We Were - Think of Me - Medley > O Mio Babbino Caro > Con te partiro > Somewhere > When You Wish Upon a Star > The Prayer - Peter Kiesewalter Orchestral piece: > Overture from Mozart's "The Marriage of Figaro" - Imaginer - All of the Stars - The Impossible Dream (A huge SO at the end of the 1st set) 2nd Set Song List: - Set Me Free - Safe and Sound - Somewhere Over the Rainbow - Your Love - Peter Kiesewalter Orchestral piece: > Interlude from Bizet's "Carmen" - How Great Thou Art (SO) - Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again - Starry Starry Night (Vincent) - Music of the Night (SO) Encore: - Nessun Dorma (SO) I think that it’s noteworthy to mention that Jackie’s monologues between songs were smooth, entertaining, well received by the audience, but also, far too numerous to list all of them here. All the more reason to try to attend a live Jackie concert; it can best be described as “An experience”! At the risk of repeating myself, it was another memorable Jackie concert, one that can never arrive soon enough, and always ends far too quickly. But, the wonderful "take-away" is that the beautiful sound of Jackie's voice will continue to resonate in your mind forever! 🎶 🎉 😊 Best Regards, - Len

I'm surprised they took the booking. I bet Jackie is eager for the holiday season to start, with its larger venues and sometimes real orchestras to back her.

Keep up the good work Robbie, not long till you earn that 3rd banning. Julia's spiteful remarks about Jackie, "She is strutting in that dress and it reminded me of nothing so much as the old western movies with their dancehall hostesses", is the same as someone saying Susan Boyle's response to Simon asking how old she was at her BGT audition, where she placed one hand on her hip, while rotating her hips several times declaring, "and that's only one side of me" to a stripper or cheap hooker Though Julia's nasty comment was more farfetch

I bet Jackie is eager for the holiday season to start, with its larger venues and sometimes real orchestras to back her. My observation is that Jackie is happy to perform for any audience, large or small. She was no less exuberant, personable and grateful in Spokane and apparently at Vacaville than at any other venue. I doubt those who had the opportunity to hear/see Jackie perform would appreciate your dismissive comment, julia.
