I am surprised that this first album does not have it's own thread. For those that have been following Jackie for many years you already know this album had a very short life, as it was recorded before AGT. It is now a collectors item worth about $3,000.00. Jackie was only nine years old when it was recorded but the coming greatness shows. The Danish website has all of the tracks on video. (Some videos are when she was a little older but the voice is nine) It is worth the effort to go to the CD-DVD section and click on the PTAD icon to see and hear the tracks with her nine year old voice. I can spend hours there and wish I owned the album.
I credit the following info from that website...

Title: Prelude To A Dream
Released: 15 november 2009
Time: 59:27 min.
Label: Independent.
Album info:
This nine-year-old girl sings like a bird, with perfect harmony, passion, and heart. These very qualities allow Jackie to tell her story while providing the listener the feeling they are a part of the story she sings. Jackie’s vocals on this CD are second to none; she has pitch perfect control and powerful vocals when needed, while delivering a sweet innocence in her voice....
Jackie demonstrates her talent most in the song, 'O Mio Babbino Caro'. I am amazed at the power and range she is able to achieve on this song. ... Some other great songs to mention on this album are 'Teaching Angels How To Fly' for its sweet, soothing and heart-warming story and vocals, and also 'Amazing Grace'. ... We would definitely recommend this CD to anyone, and if you don’t like classical crossover, Jackie will make you a fan
After Jackie's performance in 'Americas Got Talent', the album debuted in August 2010 on the Billboard 200 chart at #121 and at #2 on the Billboard Classical Albums Chart. It sold 4,000 copies that week, nearly all digital, and remained on Billboard's Classical Albums chart for four weeks. Nine of the songs on the album charted on Billboard's Classical Digital Songs chart. Evancho's parents withdrew 'Prelude to a Dream' from distribution in late August 2010. Evancho's father, Mike Evancho, gave the following reason for the withdrawal: "Because the CD was recorded about a year and a half ago and her current voice no longer sounds like what it did then ... we decided to withdraw Prelude to a Dream and will be concentrating on new material as part of her progress
This CD is now so attractive, that it is being sold for over 3000 US dollars.
Track List:
1.Everytime - 3:42 2.Concrete angel - 4:03 3.Teaching angels how to fly - 5:18 4.Starry starry night - 4:43 5.Think of me - 3:09 6.Memory - 3:53 7.To where you are - 3:52 8.River of dreams - 4:23 9.Dark waltz - 4:21 10.The prayer - 4:30 11.Amazing grace - 4:43 12.Ave maria - 4:52 13.O mio babbino caro - 4:04 14.Con te partiro - 3:54
I hope you enjoy the link!!!
Does anyone know of a PTAD album for sale?

Fan comment just a few months ago: "Every year I do a week-long focus on a famous artist or art topic in my third-grade classroom. I'm going to play this video to my class while they are working on painting Van Gogh's "Starry Night"

Jackie Evancho - Concrete Angel (2009) Prelude To a Dream version
Fan comment from 2 years ago "It is this performance and video that made me a permanent fan of Miss Jackie. She connects on an emotional level that I have never felt with another performer. Why is this??? Anyway, how many of you watching this thought of Miss Evancho as the girl sung about in this song? That is true artistry. She of course in her family is the furthest thing from the subject of this song----but that she portrays that is artistry of the highest order!!!!"

Jackie Evancho - Everytime- 2009 Prelude To a Dream version
Fan comment from 3 years ago, "I have a theory that we are seeing the real Jackie Evancho in this video. She is 14 now, but in this video we are seeing her heartfelt desire to express deep emotional feelings. I can feel that she loves all those around her and she would feel very lost if she were to loose that love. Don't we all feel that? I do believe that Jackie has a pop voice in songs like this and I hope she discovers it. That might discourage her classical fans but I think she won't know her true potential until she explores all musical venues.Lets pray that she keeps discovering beautiful music and that we get to listen to it for all our remaining days."

This is another fan comment on Jackie's 2009 Everytime youtube video, posted 2 years ago - "The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why. To the joy of millions, Miss Evancho found out why at a very early age. When the why is a gift from God it can be neither denied nor ignored and is jaw dropping to behold. Angelic voice breathtakingly beautiful."

"Prelude To a Dream" was recorded more than a year after Jackie had first posted her "Everytime" video on youtube, she was 8 years old then. Here is the original version, before the soundtrack from "Prelude To a Dream" was dubbed in.

I'd love to have Jackie release a double album, double PTAD that is. One disc the original PTAD. The second disc a newly recorded reprise.
My guess is Jackie wouldn't think much of that idea. But there are at least three of us on this forum who would buy it.

Does anyone know of a [abbr style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #000000;" title="Prelude To A Dream"]PTAD[/abbr] album for sale? Trebor. Lisa has recently been selling a set of five autographed Jackie CDs for $500.00. The was an autographed PTAD in one set that a friend bought. Don't know if that deal is still being offered but it hasn't been long ago, a few weeks at most.

Considering Jackie's voice from 2010 and later, I never was impressed much by Prelude to a Dream. Good collection item I guess.

There is no "basic problem", it's just an individual's choice such as yours.

Actually, if not enough people want to buy it, then yes, it's a problem. I also don't see a majority of her fans calling for a "reprise" of her first CD.

cer, come on. Agog just expressed his pleasure. You're making a negative assumption about a hypothetical just to voice your distaste. There is no "problem" with something that doesn't exist.
