Again old tin ears, you say Jackie is just a good singer among many others who are as good. I asked you to give examples of any, but you can't and don't, you just repeat your ridiculous claim. You know what they, put or shut up. If you can't give examples then it is obvious you are just spouting BS, and you know it. How about every singer that got a Teen Choice nomination like Sabrina Carpenter, yes there are a lot of singers that are just as good but sing in the POP genre where the real competition is. Being the best doesn't mean anything these days if you don't have the will and personality to thrive.

There are no one singing pop that come close. There's actually only a couple singers today in Jackie's league.

Being one of the best CC singers doesn't really mean much because it is such a small unrecognized genre, it like being the world champion underwater basket weaver nobody cares. Never having singing lesson most experts would tear Jackie apart in competition with someone like Patricia Janečková who has been training for years.

Richard, As this is a Jackie Evancho fan forum, and you clearly have nothing but contempt forJackie, what is your purpose being here?

Give me Jackie's warm, soul touching timbre any day over Patka's ever more flinty edge. Patricia set her goal early toward opera. She is attaining that goal and will live a life as a top star in that milieu. I remember when PJ, before her strenuous training, performed a vocalize of Once Upon a Time in the West. You could just tell the other girls were thinking; 'Ok ladies, we're in a battle for second place.' Now, to prefer her voice one needs to appreciate technical virtuosity over beauty. For some, that tech virtuosity has a beauty all it's own, but not for regular working class people like me.

See I actually agree with what you said, I would rather listen to Jackie but if it was a contest of best singer judged by actual singing judges that studied music, Patricia Janeckova would win. So Jackie may win when it comes to personal preferences but when you throw all the genres in the contest she is going to loose out to many pop singers that have a vast larger fan base.

God gave me some musicality, and better than average ear to go with it. The genre may define the number of people who are fans of that type of music, but does not define the level of talent and skills of the individual performers. Opera purist say that about any opera singer, compared to any other type of singer.

She won Debra Cosby's Talent Quest for example, unless you specifically are limiting it to contests with only singers.
Was Tim Janis's contest only singers?

Jackie came in 2nd place. This was gone over several times and the best she could do is come in second place, she used to joke about them calling her #2.

When has Jackie sang what singers say is a very hard song to sing , one with changes of high and low in a fast beat , Jackie has to me the best TONE but she sings safe songs , no matter the ear it is ones opinion

Beachguy,
The challenges of music have nothing to do with your opinion of what you hear. An educated musician and vocalist would recognize the degree of difficulty in performing a challenging song. Jackie is a natural vocalist with perfect relative pitch and other abilities who makes "difficult" songs sound easy. Vocalise among others in her extensive repertoire is not a "safe" song.
it's safe to say you're not likely to appreciate the challenges.

Keep telling yourself Jackie is the best while everyone is passing her up. Nobody cares what these selfmade so called experts think about music. Being the best can get you a trophy in a contest. Being a good singer and entertainer is what brings the people in.
